    Educational Seminars:

    Wine Basics 101A
    Wednesday, May 14th, 7:00-8:45pm
    $30/person
    (paid in advance)

This seminar is a basic lesson in how to remember wine names, understand and order from a wine list, and how to pair wines with popular foods - taught by Jay Roelof, our Director of Education, with a special focus on reasonably priced, varietal wines.  A selection of ten wines are poured made from the most popular red and white wine grapes, and cheese and bread are served.  After the seminar, Jay and the staff will help you purchase wines at 20% off and you will receive, at no extra charge, our recommended wine basics book "The Wine Bible" a $20 value!

    Wine Basics 101B
    Wednesday, June 11th, 7:00-8:45pm
    $45/person
    (paid in advance)

This is a semi-advanced lesson in wine and food pairing including tips on starting your own wine cellar taught by Jay Roelof, our Director of Education, with a special focus on lesser-known, but more expensive, varietal wines.  Highlights of our 101A class will be reviewed before getting into the new material.

Ten wines are poured and cheese, mild sausage and bread are served.  After the seminar, Jay and the staff will help all attendees purchase wines at 20% off and you will be given, at no extra charge, our recommended book on pairing food and wine "What To Drink With What You Eat " - a $35 value!

If you are interested in attending one of these popular seminars, please give us a call at 914-962-3100, or come into the store, to sign up and pay the attendance fee in advance.  That is the only way insure that your seats will be reserved.  The registration period for these Wednesday evening seminars closes at noon on the Monday preceding the seminar.

(p.s. if you attend any of these seminars, please refrain from wearing cologne or perfume. It will increase others' ability to assess the wines being served.)
