In a word, yes. The 2015 vintage is being heralded by winemakers, growers, managers, experts and reviewers as a potentially legendary vintage. There is undisguised optimism that this could turn into one of the great vintages, along the lines of 1982, 1990, 2000, 2005 and 2010.
And what made those vintages spectacular? There’s no simple answer, but in Bordeaux, it mostly comes down to weather. Plenty of sunshine, rain at the right times, and cool evenings are some of the determining factors. In 2015, it seemed everything that was asked of Mother Nature, she delivered. The results will show in wines that are optimally ripe, superbly structured and perfectly balanced.
Our strategy? Simple – we focused on a smaller list of wines that deliver exceptional quality at their price level. And, we are able to offer them at very competitive prices. It is unlikely you will see pricing this low once the wines arrive stateside.
Wine are due to arrive in 2018.
