Unscheduled Free Tastings at Suburban

Saturday Tastings happen every Saturday that there is not an Event (which is a tasting of lots & lots & lots of wines). Approximately 10 wines will be tasted with a 20% discount on all.

Grand In-Store Free Tasting Events

All tasting events listed in this section are free of charge and all wines poured (and not already on sale), can be purchased at a 20% savings. On our Semi-annual Wine & Food Expos, all still wines in the store (375ml, 750ml and 1.5L) are discounted 20%.

Here are a few suggestions if you will be attending one of these events - bring your own glass to increase your ability to assess the wines, and please refrain from wearing cologne or perfume, in order to increase others’ ability to assess. Also, for high-end customers, we often hold a special gems sampling in “the backroom".

The Many Faces of Suburban Part I
Saturday, June 27th, 12-5pm

You know the deal by now. And this year, we’re doing it twice! Our staff will pair off and face off with a tasting of our individual favorite wines of the moment. This is the stuff we like to drink and collect. Let’s see what you think.

Rose
Saturday, July 11th, 12-5pm

We’ll pull out all of our hottest dry pink wines, for the season during which they become so appetizing. Get ready to think pink!

Austria & Germany
Saturday, July 25th, 12-5pm

It’s not just about Riesling and Gruner Veltliner. Wait until you taste what this European region has been up to viticulturally. Expect the bone-dry to the syrupy sweet, plus everything in between.
